For anyone who doesn’t know. soulfire is 3DNE with Magnus/Alec/Magnus(from another dimension). It’s got soulmates, dimension hopping, tentacles, oh and Alec gets murdered a ton by the clave because every time they find out he’s Magnus soulmate they kill him. Then he reincarnates with his memories arriving when he’s old enough to handle them but not in time to save himself. So there’s angst even tho that’s fixed in the first chapter, it is brought up and referenced. Alec is never dying again btw. Especially not with two Magnus’ now.

I plotted this fic out like 5 years ago when I was writing some intense angst in general (that was the vibe then this the vibe now). TBH RL is just so intense that I can’t handle writing pure angst. Like no Ty. Give me my happy ending immortal malec every fic. No exceptions. 100% of the time it will be happy ending immortals. I don’t care how we get there but we will.

And like this fic always had a happy ending but I’m not gonna write any of the background angst that was planned. I’d rather focus on Magnus and Bane destroying the world before deciding to just take Alec to a new one

Bane pushes Alec’s shirt up and rubs his thumb over the fading but still stark rune on his stomach. Alec is too deep in sleep to even twitch and Bane flares up a handful of magic, intent on keeping him deep in the throes of slumber for a moment.

“Don’t.” Magnus says from across the room. Bane looks at him with a frown, magic sparking in disapproval at being ordered around.

He says nothing, letting his silence speak for him and Magnus crosses the room and daringly reaches out to tangle their hands together, snuffing out the magic Bane has gathered.

“It needs to fade on its own,” Magnus is quiet as he speaks, not yet bothering to pull his hands free. “The angelic power could activate in defense from our demonic influence. If that happens, it will only take him longer to recover.”

“I want it gone now.” Bane insists, well aware of the power he threads through his voice.

Magnus doesn’t even blink and his glamour drops. Gold meeting gold and Bane feels his temper sparking until Alexander makes a soft noise, turning and burrowing into Bane’s side.

It’s with frustration that he pulls his hands from Magnus to instead pet them over Alexander’s back. He slips his hand into his boy’s shirt to feel warm skin and scratch his nails over Alexander’s spine.

Magnus sits next to him, letting himself lay next to Alexander and as soon as Bane settles, tucks in close. Together they magnify the heat, their warmth of their power encasing their boy even as they shroud him with their bodies.

“How long will it take for them to fade naturally?” Bane trails his fingers across the permanent marks, admiring them even as he wishes to simply rip them from Alexander’s skin.

Replace them with runes of his own design instead.

“If he activates other runes the power will concentrate and pass on to the newest rune rather than linger.”

It’s not at all what he wants to hear and while crossing dimensions has reminded him the long forgotten lesson of patience.

He’s loosing what little of it he has.

“I don’t want him to activate more runes, Magnus. I’d prefer if he didn’t have them at all.”

“Never say that again.”

The anger in Magnus is such that it both pleases Bane — Alexander needs such ferocity — and also stifles his own rage.

Magnus does know more than him, despite how much he hates to admit it.

“I’ve lost him to deruning before. By the time I found him, he was too faded for me to save him. He was in an unbearable agony, one I will never let him face again.”

It’s an understandable demand.

Magnus is being generous even, by Bane’s personal standards and he reaches out with magic to press firmly against Magnus. Letting him feel Bane’s own sincerity.

“Then I will never mention it again.”

we spent so much time wondering if anyone ever chooses tubbo first. and now. and now bad builds an underground base, tells his coach how good a job he did, and steps back into purgatory thinking of him. now bagi looks her daughter in the eyes and tells her she has to leave her to go to purgatory, because she has to be there for tubbo. now sunny, who once worked only unwillingly, builds a bunker by hand, block by reinforced block. now fit promises to watch sunny, of course, tubbo doesn't even have to ask. (but then again, fit and pac have always been there, haven't they? morning crew is always there for each other. but now maybe they aren't the only ones after all.)

imagining creating a minecraft server where the streamers stay together talking theories, they’re so into the lore and events they got the past weekend talking through discord at late night, after that just playing random games, some of them off stream, because they ENJOY and LOVE to talk with each other. imagining creating a minecraft server where everyone can talk and have a solution if they have a problem instantly, they try to communicate every single thing if is uncomfortable for them to do. with different languages, cultures, personalities, time zones.

qsmp is something just alex would create, and the admins put so much effort into everything, every small detail, attending everyone. i learned so much with them, i’m so grateful to follow this project.
