OMG Sorina for Soma x Erina is so cute. For the time being before I found that ask you answered about their couple name, I just called them Soumina/Somina haha. Surprisingly, there's a lot of people who want Erina to end up with Souma judging from the poll here forums(.)mangafox(.)me/showthread(.)php?t=458368, last time I saw it a lot of readers preferred Soma with Erina 30-40% more than Megumi. I was hella surprised because I thought Megumi was the favoured love interest.

I’m glad you think Sorina is a cute ship name! Soumina is cute, too (they are pretty similar, so we had similar ideas on how to combine the names lol!)! ^^

And yes, exactly! Souma x Erina is surprisingly popular. And Erina’s lead in that poll existed way before the anime even came out, and before all the chapters we’ve been getting recently where Erina and Souma are interacting more together, too. ^-^ Mind you, you get a different result depending on which forums you go to. I think Megumi is way more popular than Erina on places like myanimelist, for example, but even there, the gap between them isn’t as big as you’d think it might be, you know? 

So, it does vary, but the point is, the popularity of the couples are really not as clear cut as people think. And as I said, the Japanese polls are most important, and Erina has taken the 2nd place spot behind Souma in both the official, individual characters polls they’ve conducted thus far (while Megumi even slipped a spot in the recent one). 

So, Erina really is a very favored character, which is so impressive considering how hostile she’s been towards Souma, and how little panel time she’s had prior to this. With her panel time growing, I can imagine support for her, and the Souma x Erina ship will only continue to grow, too, because their relationship will also continue to become closer from this point onwards ohoho. ^-^
