Do you make storyboards or hand-drawn/digitally drawn animatics of what you want to animate before getting to stop motion? Or do you just go straight to animating whenever you come up with an idea of animation?

Hello! That seems like a very cool and logical thing to do... And I actually do it sometimes! But it's mostly just a bunch of random drawings packed together in a stressful comic that not even I understand... For instance, here are some from the TS!US video!

Very messy and confusing, some didn't even make it to the final cut... (Probably because I lost the paper...)

They're basically just ideas I want to put into the animation (if I can). But for the smaller/one scene ones I just start animating. I usually have a pretty good idea on what I want to happen, and after a while the puppets just start doing their own thing. It's difficult to explain, but I sometimes get this inspiration while animating and add more to whatever it was I originally planned, change it, so in the end it's completely different! As if the puppets wanted it...

In conclusion, planning on paper isn't really necessary for me, but it's fun and when I'm stuck I can look at the ideas I jotted down, so it does help!

hey I might be having a party party because i had an idea earlier... i was like "what if i got a big group of td people from tumblr and had us all play a round or two of total drama roblox" so my question is IF i were to set that up would you join the party party (im sending this ask to a bunch of people because my tags NEVER work smh)
