Fascinating to me that Silver and Blaze both independently became favorites of mine and they get to be a duo in canon which is awesome as fuck. And yet I do not ship them
Blaze starts off as someone who doesn’t have to do it alone but chooses to do so, pushing everyone away to take a lonesome path. She takes it clawing and biting and forcefully.
Sonic is someone who started things alone because he had to do it alone at first — he didn’t know anyone. Then as soon as people want to get to know him and join him, he lets them! He goes from a one man band to part of a group bc he lets people in with open arms.
Blaze was born with responsibility. Not the trait, but the task. She’s responsible for an entire kingdom’s wellbeing. She didn’t choose this path, but she wholeheartedly embraces it. (And when she learns of more dimensions, she takes up the responsibility to help them too.)
Sonic was born with no responsibility. He was an ordinary guy. But when he saw wrongdoing, he decided someone’s gotta step up and hey he’s here so it might as well be him! Whether it’s for a flicky, or an island, or the whole world — Sonic just continuously picks up the responsibility to protect and helps others. He wasn’t born with it. He chose it, and he’ll keep choosing it.
Blaze is royalty, the crown princess of a kingdom. She is one of their most important figures.
Sonic is quite literally just a dude. He’s an ordinary citizen, with no status or wealth.
Blaze is afraid of heights, and Sonic free falls off of planes with whoops and laughter.
It doesn’t matter if you view Blaze and Sonic platonically, romantically, antagonistically, or some other thing. They’re so interesting when you put them side by side.
the funny thing about this is that both people born in the 2000s are reblogging this freaking out because they arent ready to be adults and people who were born before the 2000s are freaking out about how they feel old and that it cant be happening because all people born in the 2000s are like 4

Also yes!! I've been thinking about it for a while now! It's sort of a springboard for my own racing game ideas but I find it rlly fun trying to fit in all the characters n stuff
My main concept is instead of a Mario-kart style game where you pick up random items on the road, each character could have a special ability of some kind that can push them forward in the race (or pull someone else back) (Ideally these would all be balanced so that there are no OP or super weak characters)
In my mind there would be 3 types: Target, Blast, and Support.
Target abilites affect a single racer; usually the racer directly in front of the player, the racer in first place, or the racer directly behind you (most of my concepts so far are abt the racer directly in front). For example, Susie's ability would be RUDE BUSTER, which targets a racer in front of her and causes them to spin out.
Blast, meanwhile, affects an immediate area around the player. This can be anything like damage or status effects. For example, Berdly's ability, TORNADO, throws his tornado bullets out in a circle around him and damages other players, while Ralsei's ability PACIFY will slow nearby racers down for a few seconds.
Support is anything that helps the player directly, such as a speed boost, recovery from damage, or, like Kris's DEFEND ability, defense against attacks. Since these can be a little weaker on their own, in team modes the support effect would be applied to your teammates as well.
Aside from all that I also have so many gimmicky character ideas. Sweet Cap'n Cakes all count as one character and race in the same car (K_K drives, the other two cling on K_K's shoulders), but you can only pick as one Mike to play (the whole Trio is one character slot, though-- essentially they're different skins). The Lightners all have skins where you can choose between their light world and dark world forms. MysteryMan/Gaster is a secret unlockable character. Rouxls's ability would change a random stat since he can mess with the rules. Queen's ability would be called DISCOURSE and messes with your steering. I have so so many ideas and I want to make them all real but AUGH
Also the cars. The cars. The Thrash Machine would be customizable with the Duck being the most annoying combination in the whole game. The church world themed car would do best gliding along & holding speed but have low handling, bc it would be like riding on the tides of fate. The Cyber World themed car would sprout legs when boosting and have a lot of bounce when hitting things. Playable Cungadero. I could go on
In short. I have a lot of ideas. And I wanna make this game. But idk if I wanna make it bad enough to learn how to make a game. It's mostly a fun idea
I wanna make my deltarune racing game idea a reality but that requires learning to code. And 3D model. And if I get a team of people to work on it then I need money. Aaaugh
