Crying that Alastor is kidnapped and breaking the Vees apart from the inside. And the hotel can only spare him four seconds of thought
Maybe they were going for "well, we will show the audience he is having the time of his life in a few minutes, so let's not have charlie too stressed out about it " like they did with Pentious's comedic death
But I am still sad :(
At least they mourned him and his death had a significant impact in season two.
Yeah, it makes me sad too, especially after witnessing his breakdown at the end of the previous season.

Whether Alastor was arrogant in assuming he could take on Adam or not, whether he was doing it for the sake of his own ego or not, the fact of the matter is that he got maimed defending the Hotel and everyone in it.
Seeing him being treated as almost an afterthought by the ones he almost died protecting hurts.
Seeing him being- not asked- but expected to do more while the actual Ruler of Hell and Charlie's father does nothing hurts.
Seeing him hiding away in his room, clearly suffering, only to be- let's just call it what was at that point- bullied by Lucifer the second he enters the room with no one to defend him hurts.
The realisation that Rosie, his supposed best friend, was not only the owner of Alastor's soul but is treating him like a pet rather than a friend, hurts.
Listening to Charlie, who is understandably stressed, acting not worried about Alastor but angry at him for being kidnapped after he forged a deal to protect her and allowing himself to be publically humiliated as a result of that deal hurts.
Maybe if we hadn't seen how the fight went, had only known what Charlie knows, that Alastor was gone for a while only to magically reappear completely fine after the Hotel was rebuilt like the Misfits, we'd be simularly unconcerned about him, maybe even annoyed with him for acting narky and unhelpful during the Hotel's busy spell. And beyond a few theorists speculating on what the dreaded Radio Demon was doing off-screen, we'd also be dismissive of Alastor's situation. Not very likely because Alastor is the fandom's darling but humour me.
I think this is all very intentional, and not just us Alastor-Simps jumping the gun, as it is a reaccuring theme in Alastor's character: Isolation.
Charlie: All you do is stand there, smiling while you watch us struggle and fail. I don't know how you can enjoy all this suffering so much. Alastor: *chuckles* Just because you see a smile, don't think you know what's going on underneath. A smile is a valuable tool, my dear. It inspires your friends, keeps your enemies guessing, and ensures that, no matter what comes your way, you're the one in control.
Alastor laid it out for Charlie right there; his smile is a shield, meant to project an image of strength, but it is also a major cause of his isolation.
Alastor is suffering and no one knows or cares enough to look deeper.
Charlie really should've paid more attention.
I think at some point, all these negative emotions Alastor suppressed are going to bubble over, and that the tipping point will be Charlie as she tries to appeal to Alastor with their friendship.
Alastor: *hysterical laugh* Friends? There are no friends in Hell!
And really, what has his experience in the Hotel done so far but proven Alastor completely right?
Despite his reputation, Alastor is the main reason the Hotel was able to keep running after that disasterous interview in the Pilot, and was rewarded with nothing but suspicion, disdain or apathy. He lost Mimzy, someone he's cared for since they were both alive, when he kicked her out in order to protect the Hotel. And Charlie, who he went above and beyond for, ultimately let him down when he was unable to do more.
