These sourdough pancakes are a delightful twist on traditional pancakes, with a tangy flavor from the sourdough starter. They're perfect for a leisurely weekend breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients: 1 cup sourdough starter. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup milk. 1 egg. 2 tablespoons sugar. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Butter or oil for cooking.
Instructions: Sourdough starter, flour, milk, egg, sugar, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract should all be mixed together in a bowl. Mix the batter well and until it is smooth. Put a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium-low heat and add a little butter or oil to cover the bottom. Put a small amount of the pancake batter into the hot pan and spread it out into a round shape. Once the pancake starts to bubble on top, flip it over and cook the other side until it's golden brown. Add more butter or oil to the pan as needed and do it again with the rest of the batter. You can top the hot sourdough pancakes with maple syrup, fresh berries, or yogurt, or anything else you like. Enjoy your tasty sourdough pancakes that you made yourself!
