Wash and soak the soya bean overnight.
Next day, drain water and pressure cook with salt and little water (¼ cup). If you don't add salt, then the bean will get over cooked and get mushy.
Grind the items given under the table ‘To grind’ to a coarse paste and keep a side.
Heat a pan with oil and temper with the items given under ‘to temper’ table.
Add chopped onion and fry till transparent. Tip in the cooked soya beans.
Add turmeric and the ground paste and add ¼ cup water and mix well.
Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the water evaporates and the masala starts browning.

Rinse and soak the soybeans of 3 to 4 cups overnight with sufficient water. Basically, you should cover the beans with at least 2 to 3 inches of water. You can soak it up to 8 to 12 hours.
Take a pan and add oil. Then add the cumin seeds and let it sizzle for 30 seconds.
Now add the chopped onion and garlic and saute for three to four minutes or until the onion turns soft.
Then add chopped tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric and mix it well
Drain the water from soya beans and rinse it again then add it to the pan.
Now add 2.5 cups of water and mix it thoroughly and cover it for 30 minutes at medium flame.
Serve warm with any type of Indian flatbread or rice.
