Do you think FFAC Sephiroth had any idea how loooooooooooooong it would take to find another planet? Was he planning on hibernating or would he have (with extreme horror) come to realize this trip would take like a billion years?

S P A C E
One thing I consistently notice with the ancient alien type conspiracy theorists is, they have no comprehension of how big space and stuff in space is. Absolutely none whatsoever. They don't understand that it's all just so big that claims like "nukes could turn our planet into gravel" and "aliens came here to mine our gold" are absolutely preposterous notions. Like seriously folks, look into this; maybe look up some "scale of the universe" videos or something - but please, just please, try to wrap your heads around how absolutely ginormously huge space is.
You ever have to pause a YouTube video about space because it made you experience genuine terror and existential dread from trying to contemplate it?
All The Worlds We Know (so far)
No exoplanets (planets not in this solar system) had been confirmed with data until the 1990s, although everyone thought they must exist. We have since found 100s of exponents, most ... very large.
Nearly all of the exoplanets we have discovered are in the little circle on this map.
SCALE MODEL OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM How big is the solar system? Scientists have placed the edge of the solar system at the Kuiper Belt or the Oort Cloud. The Kuiper Belt is an asteroid belt beyond Pluto (today, Pluto is categorized as a member of the Kuiper Belt) and about 60 times as massive as the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The Oort Cloud is the theoretical mass of comets, asteroids and other debris beyond the Kuiper Belt. This puts the solar system's diameter at roughly 1.5 light years across, or about fifteen trillion kilometers.
Space is Big
If we scaled down the Solar System so that every 1000 km was 1 centimeter, the Earth would be about the size of a softball or a grapefruit (13cm), and the Sun would be a ball 14 meters wide (46 feet) and 1.5 kilometers away (0.93 miles).
The Moon would be slightly smaller than a ping pong ball (3.5cm), 3.84 meters away (12.6 feet).
From the sun to Pluto (dwarf planets need love too) would be over 59 kilometers (nearly 37 miles).
Our closest stellar neighbor Proxima Centauri would be over 400,000 kilometers away (about 250,000 miles). That’s farther than the Moon!
