Trigun: 9/10
(1998 anime)
Between the silly beginning and the angsty ending, there's a damn near perfect space Western for a good stretch in the middle. I did eventually get kind of tired of looking at deserts though.

Rem Saverem: Calm Guardian by Jade Gretz
The Rider and the Moon: a desert night in silhouette | He reaches the ridge exactly when the sky starts speaking in dots of light. The moon hangs low and deliberate, like a doorway pretending to be a planet. Somewhere behind him, the road disappears. Somewhere ahead, the night begins to answer.
Desert Sky Standoff: A Cowboy Under Silent UFOs | He rides like the horizon owes him an answer, but the lights above do not blink. In the badlands, even the stars feel staged, as if someone is testing a scene for an audience that never arrives. The air hums with promises that do not speak out loud.
Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs: The 80s Fever Dream
Blast off into pure 80s nostalgia with this epic tribute to the ultimate space-western classic! This high-energy artwork brings together the legendary Star Sheriffs team: Saber Rider, Fireball, Colt, and April Eagle, standing proud alongside the towering robotic guardian Ramrod and the cybernetic steed. Perfectly blending retro Japanese mecha aesthetics with gritty American frontier vibes, this design captures the roaring action of a classic crossover masterpiece. If you still remember the thrill of the frontier and the power of Ramrod's transformation, this timeless retro piece is the perfect tribute to your inner space cowboy.
Old sketches from when I originally designed Rupert Morriss.
New updated design for the upcoming chapter of After Blood.
Mr. Morris owns the Morris Mining Co. and would run the trolley over all his workers to save a pile of money.
Anime Review: Trigun Stargaze
Trigun Stampede served as a bit of a reboot. It worked to take some elements of the main story and the flashbacks telling the backstory of Vash and Knives (and what happened to Julai) and combine them into a new timeline. Trigun Stargaze picks up where the first season left off, and takes us to our final confrontation with Millions Knives leading up to the arrival of the rescue fleet. Continue…
Desert Highway to Saturn Skies | Retro Sci‑Fi Print | Some highways don’t lead to cities, they lead to proof. The desert keeps its old silence while the sky opens like a borrowed planet, too close to be real and too steady to be a dream. Keep driving and don’t look back; that’s how the story stays intact.
