Damn I love morally light grey characters with dark pasts. I love characters who swore to do no harm because of the upstanding institution they are a part of, and I love when they’re put in a situation where they have to do harm and they’re really freaking good at it. I love the slow knowledge dawning on the audience that their oath to their practice is the only thing holding them back from being an absolute coldhearted menace. Pacifist by choice and choice alone, and you better pray they don’t change their mind. I love it I love it so much.
Is this just propaganda to get people to watch firefly? Probably.
I am required to make one “this thing reminds me of this other thing in firefly” post per fandom that is the poppitron360 way
If Malcolm Reynolds and Paul Atreides were pro-wrestlers and were paired together in a feud, how serious would the feud get?
They keep it professional (ex: fighting over the championship)
They genuinely don’t like each other, but still keep it professional
They REALLY hate each other, to the point that they’re landing real hits
They REALLY hate each other and use real life drama for their promos (“shoots”)
They REALLY hate each other, both use real hits and shoot promos
Malcolm keeps it professional, Paul genuinely hates his opponent
Paul keeps it professional, Malcolm genuinely hates his opponent
