A bill that would direct NASA to return to the Moon and establish a sustained presence was refereed to the U.S. House of Representatives Feb. 3, 2017.
A possible new direction for NASA. Thankfully it appears to not change much of anything about what was in-progress right now. A return to the Moon really is important if we want to create the kind of in-space economy that will eventually make Mars trips more feasible, and learning about how humans live and work way beyond the protection of the Earth’s protective magnetic field.
