Caleb's PV from the new Film Multibanner (part 1)

It feels so weird to be writing this bc I told myself I have moved on from this kind of story a long time ago. But seeing Caleb's pv from the new Once Upon a Frame banner really brought me back. I don't even know who could possibly relate to such a weird & personal story but I'm telling it anyway. Praying that the algo helps me reach the right people.
I write creatively and I've been doing it ever since I was a child, even before I had a concept of what storytelling really is. For many many years, there were a couple of themes/storylines that kept coming up or that I found myself gravitated toward.
One is the man being blind and the second is the man being a ghost or generally not a human being/ not from this world.
Yes, unfortunately I'm a cis-het woman so my writing is usually MxF. But is it any surprising that in LADS I’m a starapplefish?
I used to write these stories in my personal diaries. You know those diaries with a code lock? I wrote in there but stopped once I found out someone figured out my code and read my stories without my consent. I stopped using notebook diaries & burned all notes I kept up to that point. Yk, destroying the evidence.
Gradually I also stopped exploring those themes because the more I wrote the more depressing it became. I’ve talked about this several times before, that I can’t seem to write a happy ending. I want to but it never happened, idk why.
That is why seeing Caleb’s trailer gave me an instant flashback. It’s exactly like that in my stories but the roles are reversed. And usually these stories don’t end well. Personally, I have never seen the movie Ghost in its entirety, which is what streets are saying Caleb’s card from this banner was inspired by so I can’t comment on that.
BUT one of the first books I consciously picked and read was If Only It Were True by Marc Levy and the plot is a woman’s spirit regained consciousness while her body was in a coma. She wandered in her old apartment and befriended the new tenant who later fell in love with her. This was adapted into a movie too, I think the movie name is Just Like Heaven.
I read the book at the ripe age of 16 btw and I gravitated toward it bc the storyline was similar to my own imagination. Ofc, we’ll have to wait for this banner to come out and read the story itself to know what it’s actually about. But the way this theme keeps coming back into my life is...uncanny.
Clearly, this ghostly theme is in line with the Netherlord myth and Caleb’s intense fear of separation. Caleb & MC’s connection feels very much like swans to me. Swans mate for life and they almost cannot survive/live normally again if they’re separated.
As much as I want to see Caleb happy, angst is almost promised to us pips since we decided to main him :(. It’s a part of his character growth and story. The whiplash from his wholesome birthday banner to this though... Pipsqueaks can never catch a break T_T.
If you remember this post that I shared during Caleb’s Netherlord myth, which was about a “ghostly experience” I had from my childhood, I think you can make the connection.
I knew there was something special about Caleb and drawn me to him hence the dozens of analyses I’ve written about this man. But the coincidences and connections that just kept piling up… Is anything even a coincidence anymore?
I have no conclusion to any of this. I just wanted to share because my brain won’t leave me alone until I do. Like I said, I hope this reaches the right people who could understand and hopefully relate.
