For the upcoming film Project Hail Mary, costume designers David Cross and Glyn Dillon were charged with creating a spacesuit that would have the hallmarks of a near-future NASA EVA suit and also stand out in the pantheon of movie spacesuits. Adam Savage went on set during the film’s production to get a firsthand look at this beautiful spacesuit and learn its design secrets!

i'm a bit bummed that we didn't get a more of a modern day bulky big dumb spacesuit and instead we got a more run of the mill future scifi suit but hey at least it's serving 2001 space odyssey
I get so embarrassed whenever I look at pictures of Apollo astronauts suiting up because they're always like laying down in those reclining chairs -- worse yet sometimes closing their eyes -- and there's like guys attending to them and attaching things into place and checking oxygen and shit like oh my god. Ohhhhh my god. Like do you know what I mean
