Since the first fanfiction I ever posted was on fanfiction.net, I've been posting my fics both on AO3, (and wattpad for some time) and ff.net too, even though there weren't much readers there, but I liked posting there because it was the website that introduced me to fanfiction. Sadly, for the past five months I've been spammed by bots in my private messages pretending to be artists wanting to draw for me (artists I'd have to pay for, which is hilarious to me considering they're the ones offering me to pay for them even though I didn't ask for anything)

Anyway, I've been receiving the same sort of messages at least once a week since October, and decided to stop posting on ff.net. I don't know if the bots are linked to AI, as I've never had this type of spammed messages before AI took off, but I know that I don't want to feed my work to them. I'm feeling kinda sad that I'm taking the decision to leave the website because of something like that, and not just because the website is dead or something. Just thought I'd write this, and I'd be curious to see if other writers have receiver these spammed messages!
