Here's a mexican linguistics post in honor of my oldest brother's birthday being today
So, Las mañanitas, Aka what we sing instead of happy birthday song (there's a translation for that tho)
This is a traditional song, usually, you sing like only two verses, either the first two, or verses 3 and 4, and it's mariachi so you can play it in almost any instrument
I'll write the lyrics and a translation along with notes :D
Estas son las mañanitas

Hoy, por ser día de tu santo
Te las cantamos aquí
This are the Lil' mornings* (Mañanita is a diminutive of the word Mañana, morning in spanish, so Mañanita would mean "Little morning", Mañana also can mean tomorrow)
That king David used to sing (This is a reference to a bible character)
Today, for being the day of your Saint (The calendar marks a Saint per day, usually, to your Saint Will be the one appointed on your birthday, that's what it means)

Mira que ya amaneció
Ya los pajaritos cantan
La luna ya se metió
Wake up, my good*, wake up (Mi bien is a way to refer to someone you appreciate, something like calling someone dear, could be said by parents to a child or romantic partner, for example. It's an old thing, not very used nowadays)
Look, it dawned already
The little birds are singing
The moon is already inside (Meaning, you can't see the moon now, since the sun came out)
Qué linda está la mañana
En que vengo a saludarte
Venimos todos con gusto
Y placer a felicitarte
How pretty it is, the morning
In which i came to greet You
We all came, with joy
And excitement to congratulate you
El día en que tú naciste
Nacieron todas las flores
En la pila del bautismo
Cantaron los ruiseñores
The day in which you were born
All the flowers were born too
And in the baptism's basin (Catholic thing i should probably explain, basically, as part of the religion, babies are drown "bathed", more like sumerged, by a priest into a basin)
Sang mockingbirds (Mockingbirds, "Ruiseñor" in spanish, can represent kindness and capability of loving others)

Ya la luz del día nos dio
Levántate de mañana
Mira que ya amaneció
It's already dawning
The light of the sun is reached us already (The word "dio" is more like hit, or give than reach but in this context it makes more sense this way)
Get up at the morning
Look it's already dawned

Las estrellas y un lucero
Para poder demostrarte
Lo mucho que yo te quiero
If i could get you down
The stars and a Lucero* (A way to refer to Venus, apparently? As like a super bright thing in the sky)

There are alternate versions of the song btw, not only parodies, but also changes of verses, for example, one goes "Volaron cuatro palomas por todas las ciudades, hoy por ser tu cumpleaños te deseamos felicidades" which translates into "Four pigeons flew across all cities, for being your birthday we wish you congratulations"
