“tw: surrealism, but I'd like you to finally meet the Stovetop: https://t.co/fESyx6R6q1”
http://www.lulu.com/…/the-m…/paperback/product-24380411.html
In 2019 I published three poetry books one after another as I wrote them. I liked what they had, but some mysterious quality felt missing. In September I sat down with those hundreds of poems and essays and set myself to the task of Seeing What I Could Find– what stories, perhaps unbeknownst to me, might be crouching within? I dove into my own jungle, with no clue or hope for what I might find, and discovered something so much greater than I could’ve possibly imagined:
The Man With The Rainbow Net.
the official tagline: “The surreal memoirs of an imaginary man with a rainbow net.”
This book is a ~200 page reorganized system of poetry and prose and spice that begins with the creation of the universe and ends with…well, no spoilers. Featuring up to 7 (?) weaving narratives of reality, fantasy, and the subconscious of all living things, I like to refer to this superstory as being closer to experimental epic poetry than anything else. It draws heavily from the canon of dark exploration and conversation that is Dante’s Inferno, The House of Leaves, and so much more; our hero with the rainbow net hunts in the wild jungles of Imagination until he soon finds himself dead, murdered by some perhaps-invisible creature…but that’s just the beginning. His awakening and travels through the underworld play out in the footnotes as well as the heart of the pages themselves, jumping in and out of questions about death, God, the Fountain of Youth, and what it means to be 1+1. A host of bizarre and fantastic characters take the stage to tell their stories and ask over two hundred questions to both him and the reader on his journey…what, do you think, your answers will be?
I absolutely loved the process of making this and hope many or any of you will come along for the ride. I could quite literally write an entire college course on this book alone, and just might– i you pay attention to or buy any one thing of mine, let this be it. Support your local starving, wide-eyed artists ;^) Thank you!!

October
The trees are angry tonight--
They stirred all day in broiling suit
building to a bursting saw now
Furious! lashing about their hot tears fly
from their fingers in a storm, dark
the winds are not for them they are
From them, latched about their arms they
throw it out wet in buffets with no smoke-
but so now Wild! They are in a fury's haze
doubled down in night among the stars
their thousand green eyed children cloak
in black and scream about,
ripping Reaching for the sky or perhaps just
for one another,
wherein each they feel the blazes
thousand miles wide...
mouths howl in the open flight.
God, angry are the trees tonight.

pocket universes in your coatjacket heart
they seem so self sustaining, infinite in the moment
cold fusion sun, no black holes,
everything forever.
if there was ever a time that could keep you
alive, infinite in the slow frozen moment,
it would be in those times:
Where you never want to leave
Where you could live love forever.
It’s always about that isn’t it?
The times you’d travel back to,
The ones you could live forever in
The ones they’d live forever in
pocket universes in your coatjacket heart.

Aphrodite Sucks Me Off At Midnight
I'm greekin out, man,
What do I do?
There's an Ancient God sayin "toodleydoo."
Yeah she's takin off, (she's really quite busy)
Got a clam to close,
but she swear:
"She text me."
Oh I Can't Believe, I got fucked in the ass!
By the late great brotherfuckin
Queen of the Sass.
"Oh yeah Smite me Zaddy"
(She whispered in my ear,)
Eventhough her Golden Cock
was 8 inches in my rear!
I just Can't believe! I got fucked in the ass!
by the late great motherfuckin-
Wait was that Zeus?

The Aggronauts
It makes me sad to see what we used to say
but when we make shit up just to keep sailing,
I'm not really sure we're to blame.
Kept warm by the Golden Fleece,
we sailed on bright yellow flags of surrender
two ships passing in the light,
and now i can't help but remember
that your decks were covered in cannons
as I drifted quietly into the West.

At night I wander in my zoo
and I wish you hadn't mentioned godliness
for now it does consume me.
It eats up my body whole and soul it
is feasting on my insides,
Carving out a cave in me i-
-
i feel its raining-
-
its rey-ning
in of me toward something at the end i think
instead of pulling it's-
it's like I'm falling...
like I've been falling
down to it...
-
"It's like I'm full of saintly-winged-thoughts now!
A Swooping Soaring Caravan!
Of darting birds and swooning angels!
high on breezeblown rays of light!
above my fullbloom forest night,
the nights I wander in my zoo,
and
I wish you hadn't mentioned godliness
For now it does consume me
high above my fullbloom forest night.

I have to realize:
I'm a master conman
command of the land of our brains
sheep bleating shepherd of dreams;
there's something evil about art.
It is deception put forth.
It is veil and chain.
even if it's honest they still don't know what you mean
You, yeah I mean like You
Whenever you do something anything-
people have to interpret it.
How hard are you making it for them?
Why?
Art opens the show to a second curtain;
can you guess what lies behind?
