Lowkey I hate how everyone's mad at Spike and Anya for fucking one time. Buffy and Xander have every right to be hurt, but like. Mad? Mad. Like they did something wrong. Anya and Spike hang out, they commiserate a bit, have a few drinks, and have some nice feel-better sex with someone who's making them feel seen and heard. That is more than fair. I honestly think what they did was healthy. A good way to boost the ol' self esteem, process things a bit, all very up front about what it was and what they were doing with each other. And yet. They're somehow the bad guys. The purity culture in this so ass.

I wish that Tumblr had less of Spuffy and more of Sprusilla and Spanya. Drusilla brought out his good side better than Buffy ever could, and Anya could relate to him better than Buffy could.

season 4 when they’re both going through an identity crisis

season 5 when they barely interact but they’re both in love w other ppl

season 6 and yes I know this kind of happened but I need more actually

season 7 when they kept teasing it and also identity crisis redux

they should have been fwb the entire time and it just never came up

post series bc they both survived obviously :)))

pre series it just wasn’t relevant to Buffy’s journey
