Well the positive test certainly explained why Yugi had been so... oddly emotional the last few days. Who cried over slightly overcooked macaroni?

“I did,” he replied; though the stern look he was receiving informed him it wasn’t the information she was looking for. He finished the statement rather sheepishly. “...the... first time.” 

He would be ashamed, but truly he wasn’t; only worried about angering Yugi. “I apologize, partner. You asked me to, and I hated it. I really hated it. I loved... feeling you. But you know it is not as if I am without means to care for you...”

He scowled at his latest visitor. It was like, what did mortals call it? Sit in a box and confess your sins? "Depends if you think you'd ever see them again." he answered bitterly through the veil. But he understood, there many phrases, yet it felt too few, so few sometimes it felt better not to say anything at all. "He's not here, if that's what you think."

Yugi exhaling in relief,that he promised to listen, not trying to put himself in danger.She looked back timidly,before dropping her gaze again.The hand went into the spiky hair,making even more mess on it."It's...It is a game. “A... a shadow... in a game...?” Well now he was a bit intrigued. A cursed game. Shadows that come out when you just go near the box. He admitted, he was a bit interested in seeing such a game, but remembered that if she deemed it dangerous then it was serious.

“I’ve heard of Shadow Games, but never like this. Is it one of the Modern World’s games, or... does it look aged, ancient even? What’s the name of the game?”

She signed, feeling like a mentioned child with every word Yani said, and it made her hide the head into the shoulders like scared turtle.The shame has even painted pale cheeks into the red blush. Not a shame if being caught and lectured- but she shames he had lied and probably disappointed him.Yugi stood,and reached the person, that used to be be her other self, her closest friend.She married face into his shoulder, mumbling." 'M sorry.If I'll say, you promise to not trying to...go there?"

Maybe it was a bad idea to be so harsh on her, but he hated being lied to. After everyone telling him how it wasn’t healthy for himself to hide, that he’d be much happier if he was honest, he found it an insult whenever he had a feeling that they were lying to him.

Turning his head to face his partner, he gave a glance. “You know I can’t ignore a threat to you if it might hurt you, but... if you truly feel that strongly about it I will respect your wishes. Talk to me. What is it?”

Yugi felt her palms sweating. She knew that stern tone of displeasure. "Well..." It was not she was willing to lie to him. She simply wanted to protect Yami over everything she could, especially thing like this. She had regretted this damn question slipped out if her mouth and disturbed him. "Dangerous things seems to be interesting, especially if you are a child.And yeah, you right. Unless he doesn't want those he trust to being around a bomb. Because if it will explode, they will hurt."

“Which is why they shouldn’t have gone near it in the first place, or if it was really that interesting told someone about it. Hiding things only leads to more problems. It’s a lesson not many learn, including myself, even harder for a child to learn. That truly is a test of their trust. Yes, the reveal and finding of something dangerous is scary, but if you don’t know what to do with it, why not go to someone who does?”

He stood up. “I’d like to think that they can come to the people they’re close to for anything, but that is their decision. It’s not something we can force upon them. Ultimately, it is the child’s decision whether to bring it up and deal with it, or hide it and become scared of it later.”

Yugi chewed her lips nervously- a bad habit she got a formerly - a small attempt to prevent her mouth of lying. It never worked through. "Just interested. I've read a story about a kid who had digged a worked bomb and brought it home." She returned to the screen hastily. "Nothing you should worry about." Yugi gave him a mist charming and serenely smile. She wasn't going to tell the truth.That's was enough if cursed things in ex-Pharaohs life. Especially games.

If there was one thing he hated, it was people being dishonest to him. He took it as a sign of distrust and to him it was the biggest insult. He could see Yugi fidgeting and had a feeling she was lying to him. The big question was... why? What did she not trust him with?

“For one, I’m not sure how one would be interested in dangerous items, especially a bomb, as you say. But to answer your question... if I encountered something that dangerous, I’d tell someone immediately and find out how to dispose or remove it. Someone I can trust, that is.”

"Hey. I'm just wondering.." Yugi's eyes shifted from the glowing screen of the phone to Yami's face. "If there was a thing, a dangerous thing, like a weapon perhaps? Meaby a bomb, that you found and bring into your home for some reasons and forgot about it. What if a years ago you found it again and scared to even get closer to this thing. What would you do then, Mou Hitori no Boku?" Yugi looked at him with curiosity, waiting for an answer patiently.

Atem could just listen, wide-eyed, as he heard her explain her “dilemma”. What exactly was she keeping in her house, and why was she asking him?

“Aibou... what exactly did you find? Is it something we need to be worried about? Something dangerous?”
