gang PLEASEEEEE hear me out on spot/katherine. specifically girl spot btw. I know they interact like never in the show but when has that ever stopped shippers? their dynamic would be so interesting.

I've seen spath or spatherine as a ship name for them I think? I would like to timidly also throw out "typekey" because. this is maybe an unpopular opinion but I think the "word/concept associated with each character" shipname trend is cute..........

automatically hating on "straight" ships because they appear to be straight is actually not very cool

the person shipping them might:

hc the chatacters as bi, pan, ace, omni, ect...

hc the characters as nb or trans

and its a bit like the whole thing on dissing couples at pride because they look straight,

as an example,

A and B are bi, B is non-binary, but they appear straight and that doesnt erase that theyre both queer, the fact that theyre in a relationship with someone that looks of the opposite gender doesnt erase that they are both queer

and on the contrary, id you hc a character as gay or aro then that doesnt mean that someone else cant hc them as otherwise, let people have their hcs

and if someone hcs the character as cishet, it is Harmless, let people have their hcs

tldr: dismissing a ship (canon or not) because it looks straight isnt okay and you need to stop, queer people can be in straight-looking relationships

Okay I seriously have a question...

Why are people getting so heated and fighting with eachother over who they ship???????? Like huh??!?!

Like people literally post paragraphs about why a certain ship is "wrong" like here's some tea, they're all "wrong"

Unless it happens IN the work, no ship is necessarily "correct" and that's what makes it so great

Like one day you can watch/read something and be like "yeah I support this canon relationship" then the next day you can be like "actually it'd be really cute if this character got with that character because they're best friends" and THEN the next day you could even be like "i ship this even though they aren't that sexuality in canon or they never really talk to that person I just think they'd be cute together"

BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT SHIPPING IS. IT'S JUST THINKING AW THESE TWO PEOPLE WOULD BE CUTE TOGETHER. NONE OF IT IS "RIGHT" OR "WRONG"

Why are people like "they don't interact so I don't ship it" ?????????

When you watch/read something you aren't getting every second of every day in that movie/show/chapter because it would be way too long. Who's to say those characters who don't "interact" where you can see aren't interacting in those gaps. There are ships of characters who aren't even in the same work??? And those ships are valid af!!!!!!

There's literally no reason to hate on people's ships because you have literally only one ship that you like and you hate on everything else that comes your way. Like let people be happy?????? And ship whatever the fuck they want to????? ALL SHIPS ARE VALID (Unless they're underage or it's incest that's nasty ew)

So yeah rant over. There's just so much drama happening and I'm sick of it.

TL;DR: All ships are valid (excluding incest, underage, or real people) because all of this is just fiction anyways. Don't hate just because you don't agree with something.
