Wraith the Oblivion
Two frends™ from Grim Legion on the verge of becoming Renegades. A guy with hole in his skull and a guy with hole in his chest. German WW1 soldier and Red Army soldier who died during Russian Civil War. Ernst and Fyodor, if you want some names
I apologise for any historical inaccuracies in designs, I suck at drawing uniforms :')
I've been sooooooo artblocked lately, it's awful. So I drew my ttrpg OCs from all over the place in fancy (or not) outfits referenced from Pinterest
And then I proceeded to forget to post it. Yay.
Short overview of folk here, from left to right:
- Claude from Wraith: the Oblivion. He led quite a miserable life and ended up in the Legion of Paupers, but not before spending some time as a thrall. He had only recently caught some semblance of a break. Yeah.
- Ruben, son of Aphrodite from Scion: becoming as gods ttrpg. He is pretty grim, despite his looks and heritage, but not without a reason.
- Sharla, my Promethean: the Created girlie. Made by her creator to serve as a protector, she still fulfills her role – just in another group of people.
- Adlar, King of Summer in my Changeling: the Lost freehold. He hasn't actually been to Arcadia, but because he is a son of mortal woman and banished Gentry (so-called Charlatan) (a fact Adlar abhors and hides to the best of his ability) he is still technically a Changeling stuck in this whole changeling business
- Arcuvol, my good drow™ from DnD, because whenever I see some sort of evil faction I have to make a non-evil OC for it. (I'm never showing my Warhammer OCs to the world... Okay, they are still kinda evil when they should be). I was trying to make my own setting with DnD mechanics, but it's kinda dead now, so I don't know what to say.
The afterlife smells of freshly cut grass.
My Wraith the Oblivion OCs yay!
❗CW: death❗
Let's start with Claude, even though he's not the main guy. But he has the prettiest picture drawn for him, so yeah. Legion of Paupers, former thrall of some rich Stygian bastard, he wasted his life in-between two World Wars and had only just begun putting it back together. He's a bit sharp-tongued and has a lot of trust issues, but he's trying his best. That's the most important part, isn't it? Also he's good at "Inhabit" Arcanoi.
Next we have Ginger! My comfort OC for all the wrong reasons. A modern girl whose perfectionism didn't let her live peacefully and continues to torment her even in Shadowlands in a form of, well, her Shadow. Ginger is a newcomer in Stygia and she's from Silent Legion, but all of it didn't prevent her from befriending Fyodor (see below), then Claude, then some more wraiths. Also one day Ginger will be a master of "Castigate", but for now she's a mere amateur.
First picture was loosely inspired by Brodsky's poem "Nature Morte", especially by this part:
An absurd pack of
Lies: skull, skeleton, scythe.
Rather, «Death, when it comes,
It will have
your own two eyes.»
Absolutely incredible poem. I highly recommend reading the full version. Sadly I was able to find only one English translation, but it captures the meaning pretty well. You should be able to find it if you search for the lines above :'D
❗cw: blood❗
Ginger, my Wraith: the Oblivion OC
Turned out "ginger" means "strength" in flower language. What a nice little coincidence. What a thoughtful foreshadowing for her.
Also, ginger plant is very beautiful when blooming.
