10 & 25 for the meta ask!
Thanks, @spearmintstardust!
[If anyone else wants to play, here are the asks.]
10. How would you describe your writing process?
...ADHD. I’m not even kidding. ADHD is a very all-or-nothing kind of situation. I’m either DOING THE THING or I’m not doing the thing. When I can focus on my writing, I can REALLY focus, and I can write for hours and knock out thousands of words at once with no problem. But if I can’t trigger that hyperfocus, then writing is like pulling teeth. It’s a serious problem. *sigh*
BUT, the actual process part of the writing process is that it always starts with a line and a general format vibe, usually set by that first line. Once I get that first line down on paper, and the overall vibe is set in my head, it tends to just flow from there. I’ll usually have a VERY sketchy outline in my head, but putting that outline down on paper means that I’ll never actually write the fic. As long as it’s in my head, it’s malleable. And I don’t have to face my brain pulling the “but we wrote this already (in the outline), and I don’t WANT to write it again, so I won’t. :P” Which it does. With great frequency. Any time I try to outline. -.-;;;
25. What part of writing is the most fun?
Honestly? Coming up with the idea. XD Writing is always perfect in your head and my mind is my favorite playground. Everything is possible, and nothing is too self-indulgent to play with, and I can cater every idea to my VERY specific personal tastes with no consideration for what anyone else thinks.
My second most favorite part of my writing, though, in a blinding contradiction, is hearing what everyone else thinks of what I wrote. XD I love comments. I do. I’ll admit it. I particularly love comments as a gateway to talking to people/making new fandom friends. I LOVE IT. It is one of my most favorite things. ^___________^
