I have two characters and I just realized that everything they want is to be the other one-
One wants a reason to be mad. They want a reason to have abandoned their family, because the knowledge that somewhere out there they still have a loving family awaiting their return is crushing them. They trying to twist themself into a monster, because if they are a monster then maybe they’ll be happy.
The other never wanted to leave. It was out of necessity, and now they are a monster, but they would give anything to go back and fix everything with their parents. They want to return, for shed monstrous aspect of them so they can be normal again.
