Challenge For The Authors!

So, It's pretty obvious that I'm an avid fanfic reader and writer (even if I never post any of it), and I often have plot bunnies pop up into my head outta nowhere. Most of them never get anywhere except saved in a prompt list I have in a file for inspiration if I need it, but it tends to collect a lot of metaphorical dust. This time, however, I decided to shake things up a bit by issuing a challenge to some of my favorite authors!

Feel free to pass this along and invite some of your favorite authors to join the challenge, if you want.

Finally, here's the challenge!

Your top three favorite characters, from any story, have been suddenly somehow transported right smack dab into the middle of your living room. Yours, not any of your characters. They know you. They know what you've written about them. However, they are not offended or disturbed. Instead, they're flattered, they're amused. What kind of shenanigans are they going to get up to in the real world and what are you gonna do about it?

Do with this challenge as you will. If you wanna write crack, go nuts! If you wanna make a fluff piece, make a fluff piece! If you want to write a soulmate fic, bring on the feels! If you want to write a dark romance, write a dark romance! If you wanna write smut, be as raunchy as you want!

Also, if you're feeling inclined, you could even write a part 2, where you end up being taken back into their world with them later!

Day 13 is for the lovely:

@specialagentlokitty Lokitty writes for so many different fandoms and does a fabulous job with all of them! I personally found them looking for Sherlock fics, but that is really only the tip of the iceberg! Recently, Lokitty has been really inspired by “Wednesday” so if you’re looking for Wednesday or Enid fics, you really should check them out! Also, Lokitty seems to be a very open-minded person with a kind heart in their interactions and seems to look after their followers/mutuals when they notice fishy interactions that could lead to trouble. I appreciate someone who looks out for others like that. (And Lokitty, sending you some wishes for proper sleep!)

Soooo I seen you write Coulson :) can you write a coulson x mutant reader where she thinks she’s like really dangerous and everything and he shows her otherwise

Knock, knock. “Can I come in? I have some mission details for you.”

You quickly rub the tears from your face and fix up the bed some. “Sure, come in.”

The door opens, and Coulson walks in, folder in hand. “So this time, we’re sending you to Moscow-” He stops. “You okay?”

You blink, ears turning red in embarrassment. “Yeah, of course I am.”

His eyebrows furrow, sitting beside you. “No, really, what is it?”

You take a breath. “I...some woman I saved today called me a dangerous freak...and I just...” you trail off, eyes on the wall in front of you.

You can hear him make some sort of tense sound. “They just don’t understand. People say mean things when they don’t understand.”

“What if they’re right, Coulson?”

He pauses, putting the folder down and opening up his phone. “Let me show you something.”

You look over at him, and you see him project something from his laptop into a hologram so you can see the files he’s reading. “See that?”

Quiet, you respond, “That’s my mission from last week.”

“And this?”

Quieter. “My mission from last month.”

“See the total number of lives saved at the top?”

You nod, staring.

He softly pulls you into a hug. “It doesn’t matter what that one person says because a hundred more will tell you the opposite. Okay?”

You hug back.

“Okay.”

You should read the books before watching the show, the show does not do justice for them the books are waaaaay better No offence anon

That’s very true! I was just wondering if you’d do a little like mutant crossover thing with him? I have an idea in mind but wanna make sure you’re okay with crossovers first :)

I'm not a big fan of crossovers tbh but I'm pretty sure I've written some before. If I like the idea and both fandoms than yes I'd probably write it, though I can't promise that. But I'm always open for peoples ideas, so just send it to me and I'll have a look :)
