My name is Midori, though I also answer to Midi. I am female and my pronouns are she/her (For those that care, anyway.). I'm currently 36 years old, straight, married with no children and no desire for any children in the future. No thank you, sweetheart. I'm a Japanese-American living somewhere in the northern United States, but I've spent a lot of time in the Midwest and South, as well. I may be Japanese-American but I don't speak Japanese beyond a few simple words because of reasons, so if you're looking for someone conversationally fluent, please look elsewhere.

Roleplay is currently inactive. I burned myself out on COD:MW content and Writer's Block snuck up and slapped me upside the head, unfortunately.

Look, I get it. I really do. The world absolutely sucks. It seems like the only news that we get is bad news and worse news these days. But my real life is already hard enough as it is! My small family of three, which consists of myself, my husband and my elderly father, is already struggling with seemingly endless health concerns, financial issues and housing problems, the list goes on and on. The point is that I've got enough stress and drama in my life right now as it is, I don't need it to follow me online when I'm trying my damnedest to take a goddamn break from it all. So don't come at me, bitching to the high heavens about this, that or the other thing, just because you've got a wild hair up your butt and a faceless captive audience on the internet while you preach from on high on your metaphorical soapbox. If your opinions are so important to you and you're desperate to be heard, that's totally fine! Just go somewhere else and do that, then. I've made my stance clear. Abuse me for it? Not a new kink for me, but a new writing prompt has been unlocked.

A vampire volunteering at a nursing home to find and reconnect with an old friend, a former human companion they'd had some fifty years ago and they both know it's for the last time. The elderly companion asks one last favor of their vampire friend, a last wish, to watch over their youngest grandchild, a little rebellious troublemaker who reminds the elder of themselves when they were young, something which both of them chuckle at with fond exasperation. The vampire is just about to decline, worried that seeing their old friend's face in this new child would only cause him pain...

Until the rebellious and trouble-making grandchild shows up at the nursing home unannounced, carrying a massive bouquet of colorful flowers and a bright smile that lightens up the dreary and unfeeling atmosphere of the nursing home, bringing color to the world like a divine revelation. The elder is pleasantly surprised, introducing their grandchild to their old friend, playing off their acquaintance as the grandson of an old business compatriot so as not to out his secret, while the vampire in question can only stare.

He can feel the pull, the invisible hand of fate guiding him toward his old friend's grandchild, his fated mate... here, of all places, after he had been searching for them for literal centuries.

icarian task: when you have a task you know you’re going to fail at anyways, so why not have some fun with it before it all comes crashing down
