WaF: Mavens

In general, Mavens are the protectors of the galaxy. They are specifically for those a part of the Intergalactic Nations, but the name Maven is used in casual speech for any type of defender.

We shall go through the general types of Mavens here.

Level: Junior

Usually under the age of 13 who have high proficiency in their skill for such a young age. Take special classes that help to hone their talents as extracurriculars.

Level: Junior Varsity

High school and college aged magic users with average proficiency in their skill used for mostly competition and entertainment.

Level: Varsity

High skilled magic users who participate in competition and sometimes for entertainment purposes such as showcases.

Level: Security

Guards who have aged out of Varsity status but have not the increased skill level or simply the want to be professional.

(Usually includes those who have not reached the Brink and gained a secondary base power.)

Level: Professional

Expert magical users above the age of 20 who are the first called to fight against any and all threats whether it be human, magical, or monster. Most have reached the Brink and gained a secondary base power or are incredibly proficient in the power they were born with and/or learned.

While Royals are very rarely considered Mavens on their own, they do often train in similar ways as children. As adults, Royals tend to focus on whatever skills are best for their monarchy and Mavens strictly on combat.
