- Physical Therapy Referral, Continued Speech Therapy, No need for occupational therapy, Hearing test due to speech delay, and watched for the next 6 months. ASD is on the top of their list right now

Fun friend date last night at Phoenix Zoo Lights with Courtney!! Emma did so well in the cold with 4 layers, gloves, and her hat/hood (most of the night). She loved the lights, especially the shows when they really grabbed her attention. We could tell she was overstimulated with her gloves because she refused to touch anything or put her hands down while they were on but she did so good and left them. She did not love the hat or hood because as one of her stim behaviors she rubs her ears and pulls at her hair so not being able to do that made her a tad unhappy. To the lady working at Walmart today, I’m sorry for snapping at you. ⁣ ⁣ I’m sorry that I had to disclose my daughters medical and developmental issues because of your ignorant comments that kept coming even after I gave answers. ⁣ ⁣ I’m sorry I made you feel uncomfortable because instead of storming off to cry in the car and not doing my return I chose to stay and educate you on how you speak to people. ⁣ ⁣ I’m sorry that you felt the need to make comments because I was holding a bottle to feed my two year old and took an extra 10 seconds getting my bag on the counter because I was working with one hand while holding her with the other and the bottle with my cheek. ⁣ ⁣ I’m sorry that my child is not “normal” (or what you claim is normal) and did not hold her own bottle as you expected her to do and therefore needs me to do it for her. ⁣ ⁣ Today was not the best of days. It wasn’t a day where I could brush comments off and say things in a nice way because that was the third off comment of the day. Today was a day when this boom mom just couldn’t catch a break from strangers and had enough. It’s been weighing heavily on me and I needed to get that off my chest.
