Bird sanctuary

Sharon discovered this quartet of speckled eggs while trimming shrubs alongside our house the other day.

I checked “The Birders Report” on the Internet and the size and coloring suggest it’s the nest of a house sparrow.

It makes the fifth active nest I know of sharing our shelter. Evidently our house offers something that the nearby woods and fields do not.
