WE DID IT. WE MADE A FILM ABOUT CHILD ANDROGYNY.
I can’t thank tumblr enough. The support I got for my ‘Tumblr I need your help ‘ post was insane! Thank you! Here it is...’Limbo’ a film about children, gender and friendship PLEASE REBLOG OR LIKE, ANY AWARENESS WOULD BE AMAZING!:
Thank you for all those who supported the film, we made it! Though we did not get much funding, and I found myself having to use a lot of my own money, I believe we have created a film which has young androgynous characters, which was my primary intention. Yes, the film has flaws, but it was my first attempt at producing and directing a short film. This film had a lot of challenges and hurdles to over come, especially since children were the protagonists and especially since a lot of people still do not understand or feel uncomfortable by the idea of a gender spectrum, especially in children. With our budget being so limiting it meant we had to find a different way to express androgyny, without physically changing our children’s appearance, which in turn has given the film a very experimental feel regardless of the fact it is, in fact, a drama.
I am so proud of this film and I really hope those who expressed their support are happy with the result of our hard work. I can’t thank you enough! I’d be more than welcome to get feedback, especially from those who are non-binary. Hopefully, there will be more films with characters who are non binary and the diversity within film and TV continues to grow.
