Day 8: Muto Imaginem
Muto Imaginem spells change and warp images, which present a lot of fun for a potential illusionist. The wizard who created the following spells enjoys spending time in cities; has a habit of pranks.
Day 7: Intellego Aquam
Intellego Aquam spells tell the caster about water and liquids. This can be used to scry on people (like many forms of Intellego Elemental magic), but I decided to focus on a character interested in the properties of liquids. Perhaps some kind of chemist.
Day 6: Creo Corpus
Creo Corpus magic generally leans into creo’s themes of improvement rather than strict creation. Creo Corpus magic can heal and improve physical attributes. However, for the sake of being weird, I have included a suite of spells for the prospective necromancer.
Day 5: Perdo Mentem
Perdo Mentem spells destroy thoughts, memories, emotions and minds. As such, they’re usually rather hostile to people. Perdo magic has a hard time improving things. These spells are the product of a wizard who has a lot of feelings to deal with; developed magic to help cope.
Day 4: Rego Animal
Rego Animal spells control animals and animal products. I wanted to look into spells that aren’t simply about compelling animals to do something; landed on a concept that involves a lot of snakes.
Day 3: Muto Vim
Muto Vim spells change magical spells! As metamagic, they’re kind of hard to place. I was worried about being able to present a thematically coherent concept. In the end, I decided to write spells for a hypothetical terram wizard interested in alchemy.
Day 2: Intellego Herbam
Intellego Herbam spells help the caster find or understand plants, or plant materials. Most of the corebook spells have a very strong, “Druid in the woods” feeling. So I created a series of spells themed around gardening and the culinary professions.
Day 1: Creo Aurum
Creo Aurum spells create air and weather phenomenon. For my Creo Aurum spells, I decided to approach them from the angle of potential healing or restorative magic- corebook spells tend to focus on the potential for destruction or harm.
