Ooops.... I accidentally fancasted a The Nanny Reboot....
Lol ever since Fran Drescher said she is here for Cardi rebooting the show, I’ve been thinking about how I would cast a 3 video YouTube short series.
So lemme explain my choices lol.
Sterling K. As Mr. Sheffield because he has such a distinguished look about him but is also quite funny. Also a good actor. I can see him playing a saddened wealthy recently widowed man.
Cardi as Nanny Fran because OMG! The voice! The style! The over the topness!!!! I can see her in some fits keeping those kids entertained lol!
Kristin Wiig as C.C. I think this would be a good twist to the role! I would love to see her play this kinda dumb. But smart enough to know the end goal of getting Fran out of the way is MONEY AND A NAME. Imagine Kristen playing this with a mix of original C.C. And her Lola Bunny character lol.
Adam Rippon as Niles! Okay another twist on a character! Instead of being an old butler, we get a young, social media obsessed, only got the job because Mr. Sheffield is good friends with his parents and he’s being taught a lesson about responsibility and earning his own. The backing story is that he’s brilliant and good at everything but never finishes because he’s obsessed with social media. So he has the skills to do things like Cook, plan, manage, and other things.... he just doesn’t have a degree because he keeps dropping out. Nanny Fran will help him see the error of his ways tho. 🤗🤗🤗🤗 plus! Can you imagine Adam’s sassy comebacks to Cardi’s amazing shade!? UGH!
Marsai as Margret!!!! I would love to see here in her first immediate teenage role here. Sassy, but very dignified. Imagine her delivering lines as less of a child! She already snatched our wigs on Blackish but I’d like to see her as a little more bad ass in this role. I want her to not really need Nanny Fine until she NEEDS her. Lol
Isaiah Russle as Brighton. Honestly, I would cast this child in anything. He is EXTREMELY talented. Such a good child actor and also a well rounded human being! So smart and I think he has a career ahead of him!
And the last pic.... okay so I ran into this video on IG of this little girl with the voice of an angel. Her name is Brianna Harper and she SINGS DOWN. And all I can imagine is her character being shy at first then Nanny hearing her sing and being amazed and pulling her out of her shell! Then maybe Nanny Fran Cardi could like rap with her and teach her how to be confident! UGH! SOMEONE LET ME DIRECT AND CAST THIS!
