I think that the Ahsoka costume discourse comes back to one thing that has been discussed before in that sci-fi is incredibly hard to pull off in live action and that live action has many more limitations to do fantasy and si-fi then a cartoon would.
By this I mean they just had to make Ahsoka’s lekku shorter because she can't fight with Shaak Ti’s length lekku same reason why she couldn't also use be more acrobatic fighting style or use her reverse grip style. Those were just limitations made because animation allows her to do that stuff. Same reason why in her fight with Maul in season 7 she wasn't using reverse grip style because she was mo-capped by Lauren Kim.
That's also why Vader looking back doesn’t look great in a new hope or the original trilogy. Because of the limitations of both the time and the medium of live action. Like if they wanted to show how great Vader was at fighting and make it look realistic and good they would do it all animated like in Fallen Order or Rebels. However the Rouge One hallway scene was awesome. Not lying there that was good scene . Certain things also like the twi’leks don't look great in the mandalorian for the same reason ahsoka didn't because of the medium's limitations.
It's just the limitation of the medium and honestly I don't think certain characters or certain stories should be done in live action. Ahsoka should just stay animated, Zeb should also probably stay just animated too because he would have similar limitations. And I think that if there is going to be a Rebels sequel, which I imagine there is, it should be animated for similar reasons because they would have to have Ahsoka and she doesn't doesn't look good live action.
