I didn't expect it, but these have become my accountability tags, lol. Thank you, @optimisticgrey and @fiberpunk027, for the diligent reminders! I feel embarrassed, but I hope this draft/snippet serves as a way to show my appreciation for including me. I truly feel seen and welcomed in this community, and that means a great deal to me. I wouldn't be working so hard on this fic if it weren't for you guys (your encouragement!) 🫶
Even if Kelemvor would one day part them—she bound for the City of Judgment, he returning to Corellon’s eternal embrace—Tempest knew, distantly, she would not live to regret this moment.
The revelation barely brushed the edge of her mind, eclipsed by the sheer force of him—by the sensation of being laid bare beneath him, vulnerable and completely at his mercy. She yielded to his undisputed dominance, to every crashing wave of his voracious desire.
Halsin would break her—ruin her for any other, human or otherwise. None could match his stride, none would dare to claim the tempest for his bride; storm for storm, vow for vow. The thunder of his beating heart rattled her ribs, a roar shaking the foundations of the earth. Her thighs braced, slipping on his slickness, as if to anchor the tide itself, to catch the sea as it broke over her.
The wind coiled in her lungs, tightening with every thrust,
every surge, each breath wound taut and high—
until the crest broke beneath an iron fist.
She shattered with it, her cry swallowed by the rumble in her ears and the searing heat of his mouth against the hollow of her neck. She answered his wordless proclamation with letters of her own, cross-hatching his sculpted arms in bold lines of rapture.
The scent of copper bloomed—metallic, sharp—drawing their connection deeper into spirals of delirious sensation, until the ribbon snapped and rivulets of their crowning pleasure traced hot and wet down her parted thighs.
