Friday's Fools

I finally have some time to keep working on that piece, about Ellith and Gale's catastrophic night together in Act 2. They're really trying, I swear... 😅

Their tongues rolled together for a few seconds, dancing slowly between their lips. But something felt off. It wasn’t the taste, nor the motions. It wasn’t ‘lack of practice’ nor the texture of his lips and tongue. It just felt… weird. Like kissing… a sibling? Well, Ellith couldn’t remember if they had any sibling, so the thought itself was rather alien, but it was the only parallel they could think of in that moment. And in all likelihood, Gale was experiencing the same awkwardness. Carefully pulling away, he gave a quiet scoff, and the shy smile on his lips was rather sceptical… to say the least. Was the orb affecting this moment of intimacy? Did Mystra have anything to do with it? If so, Ellith was already determined to stand up to her and to show the goddess that her former protégé was no longer in her grasp. Determined, the bard smiled warmly, one hand finding its way to the wizard’s collarbone, thumb brushing against his chin. They would make this night a night to remember, if only to challenge the goddess and prove her wrong. Not a declaration of war, but a statement of freedom. It shouldn’t be so hard to push away that strange feeling. For all they could tell about themself, Ellith was an experienced lover, and not the kind of partner easily distraught by a few faux-pas. Lips grazing against Gale’s cheek, the bard grabbed the hem of his tunic to pull him closer. Their mouth found his neck, pressing a wet kiss on it. He straightened, barely restraining a moan, his face lost in their crimson curls. After a few more kisses, Ellith jerked their head backward to face him again. Terrible idea. As they pulled away, a sharp yelp burst from Gale’s lips, and in the seconds that followed, Ellith felt a painful pull on their scalp. “Don’t move, El! “What the…?” “My earing… arh!” The wizard groaned in distress. “Your hair! It's stuck in it.” After a few seconds of utter confusion and complete immobility, in a particularly awkward position, Ellith raised their gaze to admire the mess. A cluster of red locks was indeed entangled with Gale’s earring, forcing him to keep his head crooked in the most clumsy way. “Shit…” The bard mumbled. “Let me…” “OUCH! BE CAREFUL, EL!” It wasn’t an easy task, especially in this position, their own head painfully bent to the side, not yet resting on Gale’s shoulder, and his jaw getting in the way. Ellith’s fingers fumbled with their hair, drawing a few inelegant hissed from the wizard. After a few long minutes, which seemed to last an eternity, they finally managed to set their locks free from that damn pendant. Gale sighed in relief. Ellith let out a satisfied “Aaah!” and rubbed their scalp. “I told you I don’t want my hair played with!” They growled, caressing their damaged curls. “I didn’t! you decided to rub your head against my ear like a famished cat!” Gale retorted, readjusting the jewel. “Why? Does Tara get her feathers stuck in your earring too?” “Leave her out of this, El.” He mumbled like a pouting kid. They indulged, and quietly swore they wouldn’t mention the tressym again tonight. In all honesty, they would have preferred it if Gale could take off the earring, but it clearly wasn’t something he had been considering. “You know what, Gale? My curls don’t have to be that close to your head, do they?” After all, it was just a tiny accident. It could have happened to anyone. There was no reason to linger on it. “Yes… you’re right.” He chuckled, that cute little pout leaving his features, replaced with a relieved and playful look. “I suppose I should keep my hands away from them too… I don’t want to find myself completely trapped in those curls of yours.” Ellith couldn’t repress a loud fit of giggles. “Don’t you worry; I’m not that nasty.” “Ah! I take your word for it…” He smiled, raising a pointing finger. “.. for tonight at least.”

Did this take me multiple days to complete? Yes. Yes it did. But I had such a fun time making it! Medical diagnoses - this is nobody's business but yours. You don't owe anyone an explanation for why you are the way that you are

Trauma - same reason as above

Triggers - people can use these against you! Don't give people tools to hurt you. No one has to know what tags you block. Just block tags to stay safe!

Moonlight Kisses

Apparently I have one rule : write the angstyiest things, but draw the fluffiest things...

In the happy ending AU Storm lets his hair grow again (you can tell Tav was the one to braid some of it for him here because of all the silver they put there :3), and Astarion finds the most colourful things possible to wear. He is favouring colours that contrast with Storm's for the only reason that it means people will tend to look at him instead of his lover, and that's a small way he accomodates Storm, who hates nothing more than being stared at. Unfortuately since he's often the tallest person in any given place, being gawked at happens a lot, so this is Astarion's way of helping :3

Nienna romanced Halsin in my actual BG3 save file with her as my Tav, and it was soooo lovely (I'm actually only in early act 3 so I still have a ways to go to learn more about their relationship)! I've never written anything about their romance, since it was more of an in-game indulgence as I hadn't romanced Halsin before and really wanted to, and in Her Harper, His Sufferer Nienna hadn't seriously dated anyone before Geraldus. *But* I definitely have some wonderful OC x Halsin fic recs that you may want to check out as I have been loving these!
