I'm not saying I want to learn game design just for this idea but for years I've had the idea for a Jumping Spider game where you play as one in the big world.
Not combat or hunting oriented (though that could probably be a game mode) I mainly imagine it as an exploration "walking simulator" (jumping simulator?) type game where you get to explore places from the minuscule perspective of the spider. Let the spider go around interacting with other spiders and arthropods, possibly with an educational bent to it like Humans-B-Gone, learning about the small world around us. Ideally there would be different "stages" or "worlds" where each is a different jumping spider species in their native ecosystem.
Picture it as being third person with the camera sticking to the spiders perspective when climbing things. Jumping would be a big part with probably an arc guide projected when you prime the jump, with hardcore option of toggling it off if you want to rawdog jumping calculations in a 3D environment.
I dunno, this might get this idea stolen but it's one that has haunted me for years off and on, since high school actually.
