Due to some health and financial scares, I wasn't able to get as much done over the previous two weeks as I'd hoped. However, all audio work is now done, which was no small feat! Some various fiddly little parts that proved harder than I anticipated are also done. Everything has calmed down now, so hopefully moving ahead I can get this done in a decent amount of time.
Apart from animation, all that remains is backgrounds and placement of remaining characters, which hopefully shouldn't take more than two weeks. After that, the remaining animation could take anywhere from another two weeks to a month--though, hopefully, all the hardest parts are out of the way now.
Animation can get tedious, so I might intersperse the workflow with work on the "Gregorsa Watches" short. Or, maybe another short I have an idea for...we'll see.
As for what you're looking at--this is a spider mite! They get their name from the big silk nests they'll make together to live in. This is specifically a two-spotted spider mite, named for the cute little patches behind their eyes they have most of the year. In the overwintering phase, they turn red, and the patches are less obvious--though, that's not necessarily why the spider mite seen here is red.
