The thing about Cornbugs that makes me completely insane is that I KNOW it’s all just nonsense Bill Moseley came up with on the spot. You’re absolutely NOT supposed to think too hard about the lyrics because it’s not meant to make sense. But I DO. I DO THINK ABOUT IT.
Brain Dead? The one where Chop-Top says “What did you expect? I never had a chance. I never went to school. Never owned a pair of underpants.” I think about that a lot. The other Brain Dead? The one where he talks about false hope preventing the grieving process and letting go after a loved one is gone? I think about that a lot. Stupid Life of a Mom Eater? That one isn’t even Cornbugs and might not even be Chop-Top POV, but I STILL think about it a lot because it feels so relevant to him.
I know none of it is canon, I know you really aren’t supposed to think that hard about it, but if you do? It really makes Chop-Top an even more tragic character than he already is.
