Regarding the ending, I’m beginning to think that Izuku is becoming the Spiderman of BNHA, because his writers have a fetish for making him suffer 24/7.
Izuku suffers both in fanfiction and in canon. However, I can at least give credit to fanfic writers for making him suffer and actually acknowledging it and giving him some pieces of comfort!!! Canon could never.
However, the way the MHA fandom and marvel fandom loves spiderman and izuku angst is insane because those types of fics are heartbreaking like peter and izuku are just suffering 24/7.
Aside I think what makes the MHA ending so cruel is that it isn't framed as a tragedy but as a good hopeful ending when in reality it really isn't. Izuku's pain and trauma isn't acknowledged or properly addressed by the narrative which just makes it all worse.
