Sam's dad in 20

Well now we all know where Sam got his good looks from. Yessiree it’s Aedan Connelly, Sam’s father. As you can now tell, Sam never took up his dad’s name even after his mother’s changed thanks to marriage. Sam prides himself as Hallahan’s grandson and named himself accordingly. In the village they were widely known as the Hallahans anyway because of Granda’s great influence.

‘Aedan’ means ‘fire’ and on one hand, fire is warm and soothing and necessary to care for the home, while on the other hand it’s destructive and hard to control once it gets out of hand. That’s like him and his temper, and even more so after a few drinks. In a way, Sam inherited his father’s temper but thanks to his Granda, he knew how to tone it down a notch. Aedan was a farmer and woodsman but most days, he was a bum.
