would you ever write a fandom crossover & why or why not?
Probably depends on how loosely you define that—I’ve done Peter Parker + Matt Murdock twice (i hear, said the blind man and heartbeats on pier 81), and have a long!fic half written for them, but since they’re both MCU I’m not sure how much that counts. 😅 I doubt I’d go much further out though, mostly because blending universes gives me headaches of like, “wAIT but if this event from A universe happened in B universe, think of the ramifications!!” I’m not like, inherently against it though, so it could happen. Just not likely, lol.
send me “would you ever write” asks!
Soft. Ned. Friends to lovers. Peter identity shenanigans.
I am outrageously honored to be known for Ned content!! ❤
What’s my writing trademark?
The only heaven I'll be sent to is when I'm alone with you
When MJ comes careening back into his life a year after their post-highschool breakup, it’s easy to fall back into love (and bed) with her. It’s significantly harder to figure out the pattern of the mysterious murders that start popping up in the following months.
@spideysmjs thank you SO much for this prompt list/challenge
(And yes I know this is six hours early but there are some spooky vibes in this fic that must be expressed before the end of Halloween night)
1, 5 :)
1. How do you approach world building (if it's an au) or research (if it's an established canon).
The things I research are absolutely ridiculous. I once spent a few hours trying to figure out which real world plant or object would be the best to use for blue dye, only to use it for one sentence in a fic. Meanwhile, I'll have a scene set in a hospital with ventilators and I'll have done one Google search and say, "Eh, that seems right." 😅 I also spend a lot of time with wikis and the source material.
5. How long do you spend editing each complete chapter/story?
So looooong. And there are still issues. :'( Once a chapter is complete, it usually takes me about an hour or two to edit it (this is for anything between 5000 and 8000 words). That is on top of what I edit while writing the chapter (i reread and fix as I go).
Thanks for the ask!

6. If you’re really concentrating, how many words can you write in a day?
oh i write so slowly, maybe 4k if i really put my mind to it
7. Which part of writing do you struggle with most?
getting through transitional scenes tbh! i wanna write the parts i find most interesting to me but i feel like i’m slogging through the boring bits a lot, but they’re needed :/
19. Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why?
easiest is probably peter !!! i find it oddly like stepping into my own brain sometimes, albeit a little less superpowered. hardest tho ??? i don’t really venture much with other characters besides the mains but maybe tony?? i literally struggle to think about how his brain works sometimes
21. What is the one fic that got away?
my massive mcu spidey rewrite 😔the amount of outlining i did.... screaming about it w a friend... there’s so much good dialogue that won’t be seen anymore bc trying to write this is like asking an amateur to paint the entire sistine chapel in 1 year lmao

everyone else can go home i’ll never receive a higher compliment
which fictional character do i remind you of?
3, 11, 19, 24!
3. How would you describe your writing style?
This is hard because I can’t read my stuff objectively! But I tend to think my writing is simple and straightforward.
11. Three tropes that are fine but overrated.
- Sickfics without plot - Crossovers - Amnesia
19. Share a snippet from a wip without giving any context for it.
“Okay,” she treads carefully, “that’s fine, Peter. Can we talk at home, though? Will you meet me there in a half hour?”
He doesn’t answer her right away, looking down at the headstone again and hugging his arms around himself. She wants nothing more than to wrap her own arms around her boy, but she doesn’t want to spook him.
“I’m not—I was still talking to Ben.” He says with a sniffle, then rubs the back of his red glove across his nose, as if the mask wasn’t there. “I was telling him he’s—he was a good dad.
24. Thoughts on flashbacks/flashforwards.
I love reading fics that utilize flashbacks and flashforwards. When they’re done well, they’re a delight to read. I use flashbacks sometimes, but I haven’t tried flashforwards yet. Maybe when I’m a more confident writer I’ll play around with timelines in my fics more!
