At first glance, the palm sized discs carried by the villainous vixen Kharibdis may look harmless but that one glance may be your last!
Quickly dubbed "spindrils" (spinning + tendrils) by meme makers studying the reports from the Wavefront Event, the corded rounds used by Kharibdis are engineering miracles in miniature. Although the exact specifications are still unknown, the spindrills are discs with a central axle. The spindril has a detachable pull string that is attached to an internal spindle. The push button arms the device and allows the spindril to freely rotate.
The pull string not only allows the spindril to be steered, it can be used to trigger the device. Once triggered the entire spindril vaporizes releasing any number of devious payloads.
Known variants: Day-Blink Spindril: This variant can temporarily disorient and blind adversaries.
