♯ 25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS .ᐟ ⌁ (07/25) ↠ Spirited (2022) dir. sean anders
My top 3 Christmas movies say so much about my taste in media. We have...
1. Small selfish sacrifices for your own benefit leading to becoming selfless and willing to risk your life for the happiness and prosperity of the next generation, to do better by them than their families and communities will
2. Santa's neurodivergent child cares so so so deeply about every single kid on this planet, he doesn't care if it's efficient, he doesn't care if it makes sense or how much it terrifies him, he is going to make sure this random little girl in Cornwall feels loved and important (the way he doesn't-)
3. Can a horrible human being ever be redeemed? Can I ever truly cancel out all the badness I put into the world, even after more than a century of helping humanity from the afterlife and refusing to let myself rest or to dream of something more, because I have to keep making the world a better place in bigger and better ways, if I don't how will I ever make up for the harm I caused?
Just... generational selfishness, family dynamics where everyone walks away feeling unloved and worldchanging redemption. Ah yes, my favourite themes of Christmas.

Spirited 2022
No one escapes levi after making a mess
I was thinking about an SPOP AU of Spirited (2022) and was never going to finish it in time so I made this extremely low effort doodle of what would have been a classic moment from it
Anyway, here's what I had so far for this AU...
Another thing I particularly like about Spirited (2022) is that in this world of black-and-white purity culture, its final message is that not only should everyone be given a chance, change doesn't look the same for everyone. Some people will have a huge, course-correcting event. Some people will just make small decisions that will gradually add up.
Maybe there's no magic wand Maybe there's no switch to flip Some days you may soar beyond And some days you start to slip
And whether it's Christmas Day Or a random day in May You're gonna wanna say That you tried the best you could And a little is enough
I don't know about you, but I think a lot of people need to hear and absorb this message, and realize that it applies not just to themselves but the people they're judging, too.
SPIRITED STAGEPLAY WHEN???? SPIRITED 2022 LIVE ON BROADWAY WHEN???
