Can we have some aizawa being very pleasantly surprised after meeting toshinori in spite stockpile au?
If you had asked a young Aizawa Shouts what he expected the first words All Might to say to him were they ever alone in the same room together- somehow- he probably would have expected a vapid greeting or some trite encouragement that was about as deep as a dew drop.
He would not have expected it to be a low string of cursus calling the parents of the reporters outside particularly filthy- and loose- vultures and diseased rodents.
Well, technically, that wasn't really something said to Shouta, All Might thought he was alone in the room backstage. When he noticed Shouta (because of his half incredulous gasp and half snort of laughter), he paused, looking over him. Shouta expected a cover for what he said, something to brush it off or distract him or sign an NDA that All Might never would say something like that.
Instead, he was just dismissed, All Might heading to the table to grab a bottle of water.
"I should have been underground, like you." He said, once he emptied the bottle. Shouta jumped at the unexpected words.
"Commission keeps making me do 'colabs' like it's anything but others standing next to me after I clear the threat. Half the time those heroes need to be doing their work somewhere else, I can't be everywhere, and the other half the time the are people who never should have graduated hero school, just endanger others more for a good shot. Don't even have the heart for it. Ugh."
Shouta's input was apparently not needed for this conversation.
"Nana knew what she was doing, staying away from all that brand of bs." He shook his head, then looked back at the younger hero. "If it comes down to the Commission or Nedzu, you pick Nedzu. Make sure your loud friend does too."
With that, he left as quickly as he came, and Shouta stared at where he was for a good ten minutes, silent.
Hizashi asked what he was looking at when he came out for his break, confused, and Shouta could only answer, "I want to be like All Might when I grow up."
