Timeline 1164: The Inkfected

Captain's Log #001

"My name is Captain Doto Cuttlefish, Captain of the Official New Squidbeak Splatoon, and the adopted son of Former Cap'n Craig Cuttlefish.

Everyone in Splatsville has been thrown into a fit of chaos, and I don't mean it in a good way. Inklings and Octolings run away from sentient black sludges that seem to resemble the Inkblot. They become infected with the disease and they go through the stages at a rapid pace, seemingly shifting into the Inkblot and targeting those who haven't fully turned. My Agents, whom I call my family have met me at the Crater to set up camp and possibly make a refuge here for other survivors.

This isn't relevant to the new formed apocalypse, but my granddaughter, Riku, has just lost her girlfriend while she was in labor. The death is unfortunate for her, we’re all grieving our own ways. It's more unfortunate for the child who is born, Kiya, for she will be raised in fear and constant paranoia. I hope to create a better future for these people, my family and of course our new addition to the family"
