So at this point unless Big Run is going to be a surprise event Halloween event, it seems like it's not going to be happening this month given the advance notice of most other Splatoon events.

Which brings me to the more interesting theory: If they're not alternating Splatfests and Big Runs, what if Big Run is the season finale event? Drizzle Season 2022 (current catalog) will end December 1st, and the Pokémon Splatfest is November 11-13, which does leave plenty of time before the season ends for one last event, especially a last big push to incentivize people to get some last catalog bonuses.

The pre-launch Splatoon 3 Direct also mentioned that Big Run would occur "every few months", which would line up with being the capstone for a season making it a quarterly event rather than a regular event like Splatfests.
