Wee! Thank You @splatzie :D
Hermione Granger- What is your favorite book, how many times have you read it, and why do you love it?
This is like asking me to pick which of my children is my favorite (if, you know, I had kids). I am going to go with Squire, the third book in ‘The Protector of the Small’ quartet, by Tamora Pierce. Keladry of Mindelan is one of my favorite protagonists. She is calm, stubborn, and just wants to do well by others. She doesn’t necessarily want to be the best overall, she just wants to do the best that she can do-without letting naysayers get in her way. Squire is my favorite of the books due to the time spent with Raoul of Goldenlake, being able to see all of Tortall as Keladry travels, and because I feel this is where Kel really comes into her own. I have read this book 30 odd times at least in the last 13 years. My original copy is waterlogged and missing its cover due to how many times I have read it.
George Weasley- What is the best prank you’ve ever played on someone?
I am someone who has an excessive love of mischief and chaos of a good nature, which is one way of saying that I am someone who has pulled a few pranks in my time. I would have to say my best prank was, as my father likes to refer to it, “Operation Drop Dog on Head”.
My mother was very stressed out from work, so I decided I would fly across the country to visit her. I, of course, did not inform her of this plan. My mother loves my dog Parker, who she treats as a surrogate grandchild, and so of course I brought her along to help with the de-stressing process. I arrived home, while my mother was asleep, and proceeded to inform her of my visit by dropping a small, very excited, dog on her to wake her up. Parker proceeded to lick her face before zooming around the room like I had fed her crack on the plane ride over. My mother was at first very confused, and then very delighted. She then proceeded to kidnap my dog for the next month while I went back to school to finish up the semester.
Argus Filch- What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
During the summer of my junior year in college, I worked as an intern at a large financial institution. I spent the whole time there making cold-calls to people at work to try and get them to come to a seminar on retirement planning. It was cringe-worthy to say the least. The internship, which was unpaid btw, came with a series of talks from different people in different positions in the company to tell us more about what they did. One guy, a financial planner, told us that 300k a year wouldn’t be enough to live on, and that the new financial regulations (it was 2012) were annoying, but they would find ways to work around them (not with them) in time. I was aghast. That talk, as well as spending time in an office environment, is what convinced me to get a PhD in accounting.
Lucius Malfoy- What is your most prized possession?
My first thought was my dog, but I don’t know if I would consider her a “possession possession”, so instead I am going to go with my childhood stuffed animal, Teddy the Tiger. He was given to me by my sister (Who named him) when I was born. I slept with him every night until I was like 22 years old. I still keep him above my bed just in case :)
