spn femslash bingo: square filled: “you said you’d never do that” (tamara & naomi ft. gadreel)
In a post-apocalyptic world, Naomi struggles to find the one person connected to the death of her partner [Gadreel]. They had been working as field officers for nearly ten years now, her having worked with him since he was a rookie. The only person connected, of course, is the only suspect in the case. Ignoring her employer's pleas to let the case go [as everyone else has], she quits her job and hunts Tamara down on her own. On her journey through each war torn city, she finds herself only presented with more and more questions as she tries to locate the famed cop killer [Gadreel not being her first hit]. Everything seems to be pointing toward corruption in the force; Gadreel would never do that, would he? Allow himself to be corrupted when he had sworn himself in on an oath to protect people? Naomi refuses to believe it. The only thing people seem to want from her are answers, answers she refuses to give. She'd send the places she visits into a panic [more of a panic] if she came clean. Isaac had left her a list, a list of people she needed to get rid of to clean this place up, and she was going to do it. It was his dying wish. It doesn't take her long to hear about the woman tracking her, following her movements. She think it's kind of cute, having a little tag-a-long. It actually makes her feel a little wanted, even if it's just another person to add to the collection of people looking for answers. Maybe it wasn't her right to take Gadreel's life and ruin someone else's, but it wasn't his right to do what he did either. None of the people on Isaac's list, her list, have the right to commit the crimes that they do. Maybe she's just as bad as they are, but someone has to clean up the country. She might as well be the person to kick start the campaign.
