Supernatural Creations Challenge | @gordonwalkr ↳ Prompt: Azazel + family
What? You’re the only one that can have a family? You destroyed my children. How would you feel if I killed your family?
happy birthday @robenedict!
Tom and Gavin have been friends for years, and there’s always been something bubbling under the surface, but they’ve both ignored it. But that all changes one night after they go out drinking for a friend’s birthday party. It’s a night they’ll never forget, sure, but afterwards neither of them know how the other one feels, and they end up avoiding one another. Meanwhile their friend Tracy gets to listen to both of them brood, and rolls her eyes a lot.

Hearing it was like a slap to the face. Watching Tracy get handed those cards was worse, it was gut-wrenching. Listening to her brother tell her what to expect over the coming months and how the both of them need to prepare themselves? That was something she just couldn't handle. As much as she loved Tracy, she couldn't sit in that small office anymore and pretend she was okay with this, that this was going to all work out and be fine - because it wasn't. Meg knew that Tracy was going to die, and that she would be left alone and she didn't know how she was supposed to handle that. The treatments were rough. It didn't matter how often Tom or Tracy told Meg she was doing good, or that she was fine, or that she was holding up good, Meg knew her lover well. She knew that Tracy was suffering, and she wished to God that there was something more she could do - but there were no answers. Even sitting and praying in a fucking church didn't help and that was her last resort. The cancer just kept eating at Tracy's body, taking away her smile, her essence, her every living fibre. Everything about Tracy that made Tracy who she was? It had been taken over by a disgusting demon know as "C", and there was nothing Meg could do to protect her from it's sharp claws. "You should go to the support group, Meg." "Tracy, you know I don't do support groups." "Please, just go. For me." It's almost been a year since she started going to those support groups, and about nine months since Tracy died. She wishes she could have done more, the one thing everyone in her support group says. They always wish they could have done more, they wish they could have been the one to find the cure. She wonders, though, how many of them called their brother the world's greatest failure for not being able to save one's lover. Meg doesn't know if she can ever forgive herself for some of the things she has said to Tom - but Ephraim, someone she has befriended, seems to think that if she gives him a chance, along with herself a chance, there might be some hope there. All she has to do is try. She really doesn't think she'd be alive and standing on two feet if it wasn't for Ephraim.

Tom had been trying for months to make things work between him and Jessica, but between him losing his job and Jessica's low wages as a waitress with no tips? They just seemed to always be fighting instead. The fights were always the same, always about the same things, always insulting things the other loved. Tom couldn't handle it anymore and Jessica knew she needed a break. "Go to hell," she said one day. Tom, without even missing a beat, replied, "I'm already there." That was the night Jessica pack up her belongings and left him and their one bedroom apartment - despite him having no income. Tom would eventually lose the apartment.
Chuck sees Anna in his store all the time. She always seems to want to buy the same thing, but she never does. He's not quite sure what that's all about - but one day he works up the courage to ask her about it. Except she completely ignores him. The next day, he tries again, "You could at least acknowledge the fact I'm talking to you inside my own store!" Her head turns, noticing him and her eyes light up and she smiles, but she doesn't say anything. In fact, she gestures to her eyes, before signing that she's deaf. Chuck thanks whoever it is that lives up in the sky and signs back that he understands and that he's sorry for yelling, even if she didn't hear it.
AU: Gavin and Tracy had it all figured out. Their lives were going to be perfect together. They had become completely inseparable. Their friends found them to be that stereotypical disgusting couple that somehow managed to be cute at the same time. They were the best of friends, soul mates even. But something happened somewhere down the road, and Gavin still to this day doesn't know what it was. Tracy changed when she met Dean, the guy who lived a couple floors below them in their apartment building. He was a dealer of sorts and she got mixed up with him. When a deal went south while she was there, she got caught up in the crossfire and was killed, leaving Gavin to deal with the empty pieces of his life afterwards. He never thought he'd recover from what happened, even after he moved out of the building and into a rental house with a couple adopted dogs from the local shelter; a corgi and a german shepherd (Jester and Kingsley). With the help of his friend Ruby, he started getting out more, started opening up more to the possibilities of seeing other people - not that he was anywhere near ready for that. He had known Tracy since he was an infant. She had been his soul mate. There was no one out there that could replace that empty piece of himself inside his chest. He knew that - if only Ruby could accept that.

Only a few years apart in age, Tom and Hael had been friends since the beginning. He hadn't always been a fan of her, but she grew on him overtime. He would eventually fall in love with her - not that he'd pursue it. Tom's family was a military family. The only thing that was different were the twins, that happened to share the same name; Margaret and Meg. He never questioned it. When he was eighteen, Tom was already finding himself on his first tour, despite Hael begging, pleading for him to not go. He wasn't going to go against his father, or Margaret. He would follow in their footsteps. Hael grew up wanting to discover the world. She found everything fascinating - though her favourite landmark had to be any and all icebergs. Okay, so maybe they aren't landmarks, that doesn't lessen her love for them. Tom may have been older, but she knew from the start that she wanted to marry that snobbishly handsome grump of a person. She always took him out into the woods and they would lay there together, underneath the trees in the shade and just talk. Him leaving for war destroyed her. She had lost the other half of her being, and she'd never told him so.
