I-I can't be consorting with a demon!
happy birthday @robenedict!
Tom and Gavin have been friends for years, and there’s always been something bubbling under the surface, but they’ve both ignored it. But that all changes one night after they go out drinking for a friend’s birthday party. It’s a night they’ll never forget, sure, but afterwards neither of them know how the other one feels, and they end up avoiding one another. Meanwhile their friend Tracy gets to listen to both of them brood, and rolls her eyes a lot.
#tfw you get transported to the future and you find out your dad sold his soul for a bigger dick and he's a demon/the king of hell and you just want to go back on your boat to the new world with your girlfriend
some father/son bonding

Dean/Kat/Gavin (1.10 Asylum)
AU: Gavin and Tracy had it all figured out. Their lives were going to be perfect together. They had become completely inseparable. Their friends found them to be that stereotypical disgusting couple that somehow managed to be cute at the same time. They were the best of friends, soul mates even. But something happened somewhere down the road, and Gavin still to this day doesn't know what it was. Tracy changed when she met Dean, the guy who lived a couple floors below them in their apartment building. He was a dealer of sorts and she got mixed up with him. When a deal went south while she was there, she got caught up in the crossfire and was killed, leaving Gavin to deal with the empty pieces of his life afterwards. He never thought he'd recover from what happened, even after he moved out of the building and into a rental house with a couple adopted dogs from the local shelter; a corgi and a german shepherd (Jester and Kingsley). With the help of his friend Ruby, he started getting out more, started opening up more to the possibilities of seeing other people - not that he was anywhere near ready for that. He had known Tracy since he was an infant. She had been his soul mate. There was no one out there that could replace that empty piece of himself inside his chest. He knew that - if only Ruby could accept that.
happy birthday, maraparkers!
It’s Gavin’s bright idea to get Tom away from his desk job. He spends too much time at the office and he’s always grumpy when he gets back from work. Despite Tom not really wanting to, he says yes for Gavin. After all, who’s he to deprive his twenty-something boyfriend of an adventure just because he [himself] thinks he’s a little old to go on a “road trip.” So they pick some dates, Tom books it off, and then when the time comes around, they head out on the road - Tom making sure they are very prepared for this ordeal. What Tom isn’t prepared for is the fan belt on his crappy car to go, Gavin to lose all their money in a terrible game of blackjack, and the both of them to end up stranded in the middle of nowhere after they get mugged. One would think that this would only push them away from each other, but in fact, the whole experience just brings them closer together - one shitty motel experience after another on the journey home.
happy birthday, maraparkers!
It’s summer break and Gavin’s in California with the family. His mother wanted to take his little sister to Disneyland before she got too old to enjoy everything (”But mom, have you ever met anyone ever? She’ll always love Disney. Trust me.”). Of course, he gets stuck on sister duty and has to take her on all the rides while his mother relaxes elsewhere - mainly back at the resort. It isn’t so bad though, he’s having a great time. And at night, his mother lets him go out on his own for some of the older activities. Gavin goes right to Club 33. He’s been going there often (and thanks to his mother, he got access, bless her soul). That’s where he sees someone he takes an interest in. He could do this the smart way, or he could be an idiot. He chooses the latter and heads over to her, giving her the charming smile he’s been known to use on others. She looks at him and raises an eyebrow. He thinks it over very quickly before saying, “You wanna come over?” he pauses, but before she can respond, “And maybe come, over and over?” She stares at Gavin like he’s a complete moron, wanting to dump her drink over his head - but she finds herself laughing, but not with him, at him. Gavin’s grinning, a little pleased that she’s laughing, considering this could have ended horrendously. When she gathers her composure, she looks at him, “I think you owe me a drink.” The rest of the night is spent with terrible talk and neither of them really caring what the other has to say. It turns out her hotel room (where she’s staying) is empty currently, so they decide to make use of that. He sneaks out in the morning and he’s feeling pretty great. After all, he wasn’t expecting to get laid here of all places. His mother chastises him for being out all night, but he doesn’t get into too much trouble for it. His last day there, he runs into the same girl again - only to realize he doesn’t know her name. The interaction is awkward, and it ends with her dumping her drink over his head and calling him an asshole. No one is surprised, not even Gavin’s little sister. [....] It’s that time of year again for the varsity cheerleading competitions! Tracy’s worked her ass off to get her squad to nationals and she isn’t going to let anyone get in her way of winning it. Her team deserves it, and after the disaster that was last year? They won’t be embarrassed this year. No freaking way. As the competition goes on though, her team takes notice of another squad, the Tigers? Tracy thinks they’re a joke, a complete and utter joke - but she notices a familiar face amongst the co-ed group. Behind the scenes, after the second round, Tracy seeks out that asshole. When she finds him, she doesn’t even say hello, she grabs him by the ear and pulls him away from the group he’s talking to. “Ow, ow, ow, ow!” When they get somewhere more secluded, she lets go, and he starts rubbing his ear, “What the hell, lady?” then he looks and... “You look kind of familiar.” Tracy scoffs, “It’s been three weeks, and you already forget?” Gavin holds up both hands, “Wait, wait,” he looks around for help, “Skir...t..... soda.” Tracy frowns even more, “Skirt soda?!” Gavin chuckles awkwardly and shrugs. She grabs the nearest inanimate object (which happens to be a full water bottle) and starts smacking his shoulder with it, “You! Didn’t! Tell! Me! You! Were! A! Cheerleader! I! Don’t! Fraternize! With! The! Enemy!” and that’s when it dawns on Gavin who this chick is. He remembers her from his trip to Disney. He grabs her wrist, looking at her, “Hate to say it, but you kind of liked fraternizing with the enemy. You kind of liked it a lot.” Tracy scoffs again and smacks him this time. Gavin goes to laugh, but suddenly she’s kissing him? He goes with it and kisses her back, but then she pulls away and hits him again. Gavin watches her walk away. He still has no freaking clue what her name is, but he likes her.
