When Plankton steals the Secret Formula yet again, SpongeBob is sent on his scariest and most dangerous retrieval mission yet… being sent to unknown lands where he finds himself as an air breather.. and as a human boy? Now SpongeBob has to try and navigate this foreign land while making new (yet strangely familiar) friends and finding a way to stop Plankton, while also learning how strange human teenagers can be. AKA I combined SpongeBob characters with the first Equestria Girls movie because I am full of fun and whimsy.

I am 6 chapters in currently, with 9 fully written! hope to do more soon if people like it 🥹

Can someone explain to me why whenever I try to find a Spongebob crossover fanfic its ALWAYS smut themed or something like that???

Spongebob is asexual isn’t he? He gives off asexual vibes to me. I was trying to find a good crossover fanfic of Spongebob and theres nothing up to my standards 🪦

Writing Spongebob in this AU is so tricky because it's extremely easy to have him say something that sounds really mean and hurtful, but he doesn't mean it to be mean or hurtful and I have to make sure that the reader knows that but who he talking to may or may not know that.

It's like, he doesn't have the ability to be concerned or care about the others feelings and reactions to what he says or how it comes across. He's not thinking "Oh I'm mad at them I'm going to say something mean to get them to leave me alone" it's more like "you asked me my opinion on something and I'm giving yiu my actual thoughts on it, why would I lie to make you feel better? You're not important enough for me to even consider doing that."
