There’s clear amusement in the boy’s expression as his gaze meets that of the other, but it’s teasing rather than malicious. Which... Definitely makes a change from the aghast look that’d crossed his features moments previously, when he’d realised he was talking to someone who had absolutely no idea what he was on about. He’s quickly traded that out for an eagerness to explain, though, to share his knowledge with someone - there are few things that capture his attention quite like music does.

“Oh, so you’re a sea sponge huh? Just gimme one second!”

The bear turned to one side and crouched over his handbook as he frantically skimmed for something he could use. 

“Come on, I know I have something for this, I know...Sea creatures...Cleaning utensils...Oh, here’s one!”

Fozzie brightened up and held up one furry finger to the saltwater stranger. 

“Why do sponges learn so much in school? Because they’re very absorbent! Ahh, wocka wocka!”

                you’ve gotta be joking. dark gaze simply stared down the OVERLY CHEERY other. the clear disgust was obvious on her naturally sullen face.  ❝  careful with all that sugar + sunshine. might get a cavity. or ... melanoma.  ❞  cheeriness is exhausting. see, look at her. she’s so cool + cynical. + not at all pretentious.
